Bi-weekly News Roundup: Nintendo Direct-ly takes the initiative

The past 2 weeks, admittedly, have been pretty lackluster for news. There have been rumors of "leaked" documents on Xbox 720 and PS4 details but nothing concrete. Who would’ve guessed Nintendo would boost my sprits with their invigorating Nintendo Direct this past Wednesday. It definitely makes me fired up for E3. Also, there are tons of new trailers so let’s cut to the Bi-weekly News Roundup.

  • Project X Zone, the 3DS tactical RPG featuring Namco Bandai, SEGA, and Capcom charcters is heading Westside this Summer
  • It’s been confirmed Resident Evil Revelations will be heading to the PS3, PC, Wii U, and Xbox 360
  • The first gameplay footage for Dead Island Riptide was shown off by the developers
  • Monolith Soft, developers of Xenoblade Chronicles, revealed their new Wii U RPG, teased as X
  • You can now use PayPal to add funds on PSN and you can now access the store from your computer
  • A white PS3 is heading stateside next week on 1/27
  • The first round of Playstation All Stars DLC has been revealed to be launching on 2/12
  • The Elder Scrolls Online Beta sign up has started
  • THQ sold all their properties this week, disbanding the company after the auction
  • A demo of The Last of Us will be packaged with God of War: Ascension
  • Evil King Washington DLC for AC3 will be releasing on 2/19
  • Zelda: Wind Waker is getting an HD remake for the Wii U and will be launching this Fall
  • From the team behind Kirby’s Epic Yarn comes Yoshi’s Land for the Wii U
  • Nintendo revealed Smash Brothers, a new Mario, and Mario Kart Wii U will all be shown off at this E3
  • This Spring, Nintendo is re-launching their Virtual Console on the Wii U, allowing you to play classics on your Wii U GamePad
