BHRC in UK condemns killing of Baloch females, blames Paki state

A premier Baloch human rights group in the United Kingdom has strongly condemned the vicious target killings of the sister and niece of Republican Party chief Mir Brahamdag Bugti.

The Baloch Human Rights Council (UK) accused assassins belonging to the Pakistani military intelligence for killing the two high Baloch females, along with the family driver, in Karachi on Tuesday.

The murdered ladies were the wife and daughter of Mir Bakhtiar Dombki, member of the Balochistan assembly and a respected member of Dombki tribe.

Sindh government officials had attributed the slaying to tribal enemity, but the family and Baloch political and civil society blamed the Pakistani secret services for the killings.

Mir Domki came on record to say he has tribal disupte with the Raisanis, but said he believed the Pakstani secret services are involved in killing his wife and daughter.

Both Mir Dombki and his wife are grand children of Baloch statesman  Nawab Akbar Bugti who was killed by Pakistani army in an army operation in August 2006.

"B.H.R.C. believes that this brutal killing of highly respected Baloch women and children is the continuation of the expressed policy of the Pakistani state to spread fear among the Baloch resistance against Pakistani rule on Balochistan and to frustrate the Baloch struggle for regaining their sovereignty," Samad Baloch, B.H.R.C. general secretary said.

"This immoral action on behalf of the Pakistani intelligence agencies is also indicative of the low moral standings of the enemy which the Baloch are confronting," he added.

Baloch Human Rights Council (U.K.) believes that harming the civilians in a conflict is against all recognised international norms and UN covenants.

Samad Baloch appealed to concerned international authorities to take notice of this gruesome act and said the B.H.R.C. believes no one is above international humanitarian laws and the Pakistani authorities should not be treated as sacred cows.

Samad Baloch said the B.H.R.C. is sending letters to all national and international humanitarian organization and U.N. sponsored agencies and appealing them to take this issue as a deliberate act of human right violation of the Baloch civilians and calling for appropriate actions be taken against Pakistani authorities accordingly.

The B.H.R.C. in Canada, which is led by former Communist Party of Pakistan activist from Old Golimar in Karachi, Zaffar Baloch, also issued a similar condolence message.
