The upcoming game from Quantic Dream, “Beyond: Two Souls,” has gotten a release date in North America, reports Daemon Hatfield for IGN on March 1.
The game will be released on Oct. 8, 2013 in North America. there has been no information yet regarding release dates for the rest of the world. “That Oct. 8 release makes ‘Beyond: Two Souls’ the latest releasing game of the year so far,” Hatfield says.
The game, which already features the voice and performance (via motion capture) of Ellen Page (“Juno,” “Inception”), also features Willem Dafoe (“Spider-Man,” “The English Patient”), playing a character named Nathan Dawkins.
“Dawkins is an enigmatic scientist working for a top-secret government division studying paranormal activity,” Hatfield says in a video post. “His professional curiosity in Jodie [Ellen Page’s character], driven by personal tragedy, is a central theme in ‘Beyond: Two Souls’.”
The game will be released for the PlayStation 3 exclusively, much like "Journey" was earlier in 2012.
