The Beyond Tucson event at the Children's Museum Tucson will be from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013. The event features a variety of performances including Stories that Sour, Carrying the Sound, and Tucson Twist-Its. Other activities include jumping castles, YMCA rock wall, wee wiggle fitness program, and hands-on activities.
Beyond Tucson is a series of events that commemorate the January 8, 2011 shooting, celebrate togetherness, and commit to stronger and healthier futures. The event at the Children's Museum Tucson is associated with the Beyond Main Event: "Together We Move" at the Armory Park and other locations in Downtown Tucson.
About the Children's Museum of Tucson: The regular school year hours for the Tucson Children's Museum are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. During the summer the museum is also open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays. The museum is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Regular admission is free for ages up to 24 months, $6 for ages 2 to 18 and seniors, and $8 for adults.
