Beyond Linsanity: Three must add fantasy basketball free agents

Amidst the hoopla that is Linsanity there have been some recent developments elsewhere in the league that are noteworthy for fantasy owners.

The Portland Trail Blazers have changed their rotation by switching shooting guards Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum.  Matthews will come off the bench and Batum will start and get more minutes which will make him a hot commodity for fantasy owners to add to their rosters.

Batum and Kevin Durant are the only two players in the NBA this season to be averaging 1.5 3-PT PPG, 1 steal and 1 block.

Another good looking pick up is New Orleans Hornets' Center Chris Kaman.  The Hornets had been shopping the seven-footer earlier this season but he has since been moved from the trading block to the starting line-up in order to fill the hole left by the injured Emeka Okafor.

Since moving to the starting line-up Kaman is averaging a double-double over his last four games.  He is worth adding to any fantasy rosters right away.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Antawn Jamison has stepped up his game in February averaging 22 PPG and 9.2 Rebounds PPG over the last seven games.  This kind of production is what was expected from Jamison to start the season.

It looks as if he has adjusted to playing with superstar-to-be Kyrie Irving.  Expect Jamison to continue the statistical upswing and add him to your rosters.
