Beyonce has just dropped her much-hyped video for the single Video Phone which features a highly-anticipated guest appearance by the fabulousness that is Lady Gaga. As the buzz grew for the video's release it was hard to imagine what would happen when the fashionably ferocious Gaga merged talents with the fierce diva Beyonce, but what occurs is a visually stunning mix of fashion, camp and sass.
Beyonce channels several looks in the video from fearsome dominatrix to space amazon to a Warhol-esque montage of colorful bodysuits and is surprisingly able to pull off a look inspired by 50's pinup, Bettie Page. In several memorable sequences she wears looks that come straight from the house of Jean Paul Gaultier. In one she wears a stretch gabardine trench-style bodysuit with matching thigh-high boots from the Gaultier Paris Couture Fall/Winter 2009 collection and in another she wears an orange tulle swimsuit with a cape from Soleil by Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Stylists for the video were none other than mom Tina Knowles and Ty Hunter.
