Beyoncé tops Forbes Top 100 Celebrities list for 2014

Forbes has released its “Celebrity 100” list and Beyoncé Knowles is at the top of the list in 2014. Beyoncé has had an incredible year in entertainment with her surprise-release visual album – as it had a video for every one of its 14 songs ready before its release - and a high-profile tour with her husband Jay-Z that began last week. Prior to the latest tour, she performed 95 shows as a solo performer which brought in an average $2.4 million per performance, according to Yahoo! News on Monday.

Besides the phenomenal solo tour and the release of her successful – though non-promoted – album, she had a top-selling song culled from the recorded set. The song “Drunk in Love” has gone platinum by selling in excess of one million copies. Of course, with her fame comes offers to promote products.

Beyoncé has reportedly earned millions of dollars by endorsing Pepsi and H&M products. Then there are other business ventures which keep her bank account bulging at the seams. She has Heat, Rise and Pulse which are fragrances that have her name on them. She also owns a clothing firm, House of Dereon, which sells shoes, jeans, and accessories. The bottom line, financially, states that Beyoncé earned $115 million between June 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014.

The year 2014 is turning out well for her, as well, with the “On the Run” tour with her husband having rolled out in Miami on June 25 of this year. Jay-Z and Beyoncé are undoubtedly the most celebrated celebrity couple on the planet right now.

Though there are only 20 dates on the calendar for the power couple’s tour, there are more dates expected to be announced. Husband Jay-Z hasn’t been doing too badly either. He landed the number six spot on this year’s list by bringing in $60 million via live shows and the album “Magna Carta… Holy Grail.” Incidentally, the top celebrity of last year, Oprah Winfery, fell to number 4.
