Beyonce Knowles and her mother, Tina are to design a $45 T-shirt in support of President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles says that the designs are embellished with many slogans and phrases associated with the president, including the infamous ‘Yes we can’. Other people lending their support to the initiative – which has been spearheaded by US Vogue editor Anna Wintour – include Tracey Reese, Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Rachel Roy, Jason Wu, Sean Combs, Thakoon, and plenty more.
Previously Beyonce helped create a series of Agit-shirts for the campaign, Michelle Obama «Let’s Move», aimed at children to lead healthy lives.
Proceeds from the sale of the designer duds will benefit the Obama Victory Fund 2012. The sale will kick off on the President’s official site on February 7.
