While the controversy still swirls over whether or not Beyonce lip-synced the Star Spangled Banner at the inauguration of President Barack Obama, fake pregnancy rumors again surfaced. As for the lip-syncing, CBS News reported on Jan.23, 2013, the “stars are weighing in.” Slate had a professional musician analyze the videos and he concluded Beyoncé Wasn't Lip-Syncing. But as the debate continues, something positive may have come out of it. Popular Critic carried a story that should please Beyonce and husband Jay-Z: “Beyonce Lip Sync Surprise; Singer Addresses Fake Pregnancy Rumors.”
"Hand-syncing" the cello and violin:
Has everyone forgotten the 2009 inauguration at which Yo-Yo Ma had to mime playing the cello and Itzhak Perlman his violin because of the effect the cold has on string instruments? The Beyonce controversy is much ado about nothing. It is being suggested that while Beyonce started with lip-synching, it was too distracting. As such, she pulled out her earplug and sang on her own. Maybe. Maybe not.
Real "fake" pregnancy rumors:
As for the fake pregnancy rumors, Popular Critic reminded us of the GQ interview in which Beyonce addressed these saying:
“When I gave birth, that was the first time I truly let go and surrendered,” Baddie Bey continued. “And it taught me how amazing that feels… giving birth made me realize the power of being a woman. I have so much more substance in my life. And expressing that excitement and that sensuality and the connection I have with my husband – I’m a lot more comfortable with that now.
