Dressed in a sparkling Vrettos Vrettakos designer turquoise dress featuring over 400,000 crystals from Lorraine Schwartz, Beyonce surprised the world with a unexpected performance of her current hit single "XO" at the 2014 BRIT Awards.
The London O2 Arena applauded as Beyonce was front and center dedicating the performance to her fans. "I'd like to dedicate this song to my incredible fans, I love y'all. Sing along with me tonight!" On a stage accompanied by giant pillars, back-up singers and bright neon lights flashing throughout her performance, Beyonce performed "XO" for the first time on live television.
The 32-year old superstar, Beyonce was rumored leading up to Wednesday night to be among the event's performers and only was confirmed to be performing at the top of the telecast. The star-studded affair included performances from Super Bowl performer Bruno Mars, "Dark Horse" singer Katy Perry, Producer of the Year Pharrell Williams and English Indie Rock band Arctic Monkeys.
The sparkling long-sleeved, form-fitting green gown was designed by Greek designer Vrettos Vrettakos. The London based designer is a graduate from the prestigious London Royal College of Art, where he owns a Master's Degree in Women's Wear.
