R & B superstar Beyoncé Knowles is having a phenomenal February. Not only did she have powerhouse halftime performance at Super bowl XLVII , which reunited one of the bestselling girl groups of all time , Destiny’s Child- to winning her 14th Grammy Award as a solo artist (Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Love On Top”). Tuesday night, the action did not stop, with the songstress hosting the premier of her new HBO documentary “Life is But a Dream”, which premieres Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 9 p.m. She dazzled in a sequined gown by designed Elie Saab.
Stars such as Oprah Winfrey were on hand to celebrate the singer’s documentary, which gives fans a look into her life from her world tour experience to her more personal side off stage being a wife and mother. The star said at the premier that her daughter, 1 year old Blue Ivy inspired her to create the short film.
“I hope that she will see all of the beautiful times [and] all the tough times that led up to her being here.
I'm hoping that ... it can comfort her and inspire her in her life when she needs it. I felt like it was time for me to share my story because I've been through so much and I have so much to celebrate, so much to share,” Beyoncé said.
“There is something really powerful and liberating and freeing. I feel free. I feel like I've been able to heal from a lot of things because of this film and editing this film.
And I've learned so much about myself, having to watch hours of footage of my life and my mistakes and things I did right and it just really has been an incredible learning experience.”
