Beyonce appears to have started a second round of her 22-day vegan-diet challenge, judging by an Instagram photo. Beyonce, who credited a vegan diet for her 65-pound post-baby weight loss, has resumed the plant-based diet.
Beyoncé posted an Instagram photo of the 22 Days vegan protein bar along with the caption, "#22daysvegan." In December 2013, Beyonce and husband Jay-Z completed a three-week vegan diet challenge.
At the time, Jay-Z cited a desire for a "physical and spiritual" cleanse for their decision to eliminate gluten and animal products from their diets.
Beyonce and Jay-Z performed at the 2014 Grammy Awards, where they raised eyebrows for their dramatic weight loss. Numerous media reports claimed the superstar couple had lost a combined 110 pounds on their 22-day vegan diet.
Beyonce's camp has not confirmed these extreme weight-loss rumors, but the Grammy winner is definitely super-skinny. She's now a tiny size two-four, according to "Project Runway" Michael Costello, who designed Beyoncé's sexy Grammy gown.
The 5-foot-7 Beyonce recently revealed she weighed 195 pounds while pregnant, and lost 65 pounds shortly afterward by following a strict diet and working out several days a week combining cardio exercise with strength-training.
"I was 195 pounds when I gave birth," she said. "I lost 65 pounds. I worked crazily to get my body back."
Beyoncé's trainer, Marco Borges, said she typically eats one vegan meal a day to maintain her weight loss. Borges said Beyonce's go-to snacks are the gluten-free, vegan 22 Days Nutrition Bars.
Marco Borges revealed his diet, weight loss and workout secrets in his bestselling book, 22 Day Revolution.
