Beyonce sings National Anthem live (Video)

Earlier this month, there was buzz surrounding Beyonce lip-syncing at the presidential inauguration. Sources told news outlets that they were notified that Beyonce would use a pre-recorded voice track. “We don’t know why, but this is what we were instructed to do so that is what we did. It’s not because Beyonce can’t sing. We all know Beyonce can sing.”

Beyonce was at a news conference for her upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. During the conference, she was asked about the lip-syncing situation, she admitted she used a pre-recorded track. Beyonce stated, “I am a perfectionist. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra at the inauguration. It was a live television show and a very important moment for me.” Beyonce also added, “Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. I’m very proud of my performance.”

Beyonce wanted to prove once and for all that she can sing the national anthem with or without a pre-recorded track. TMZ reported that Beyonce sang a live version of the Star - Spangled Banner on T.V. without the help of a backing track. When she finished the song, she simply said, “Any questions?”
