Take a look at this photo, purportedly of Beyonce’s Super Bowl appearance. It’s been sweeping the “Internets” as you can see from Google Images – and today this Cleveland-area reporter has been doing her research in trying to determine whether or not it’s real or fake, authentic or Photoshopped.
The Huffington Post claims it is real, as far as they know, with its odd muscle-bound display of a stance and quirky facial expression. I definitely witnessed Beyonce making funny faces throughout the Super Bowl performance, and my Spidey senses sent me on a trek to determine if I could spot the fakeness of the picture.
“Beyoncé usually wears four pairs of stockings when she performs,” said one local woman. “Her mother Tina said she also wears Spanx that they safety-pin up to her bra to control bumps and lumps.”
I indeed remember the same interview of Tina Knowles sharing her daughter’s beauty tips on The View.
In the muscle photo, however, it’s quite clear that Beyoncé is wearing fish net hosiery, without the multiple pairs beneath, as witnessed by the ripple effect of flesh.
Comparing that photo in question to the next one in the slideshow above by Ezra Shaw of Getty Images, we see that indeed the same gold-colored fishnets are worn in both pictures, as well as the black leather gloves – so it very well could be real.
It’s like playing a game of “spot the difference” checking the two photos against one another for any telltale mistakes that would peg it as a fake.
Alas, I see none. Do you?
