Beyoncé rocked the Spring 2014 embellishment trend on Dec. 21 during a release party and screening for her new self-titled album “Beyoncé” at the School of Visual Arts Theater in New York City.
The singer wore a Tom Ford embellished ensemble that featured a sheer black turtleneck mini dress and matching embellished thigh high boots.
Beyoncé’s hair was parted in the center and worn down in her signature blonde hue. Her makeup was kept simple with a smoky eye and neutral shade on the lips.
According to US Weekly on Dec. 22, the “Run The World” singer talked about the surprise release of her new album.
“I felt like I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire,” Beyoncé revealed. Adding that she wanted to "show other women, when you get to this point in your career, you don’t have to go sign with someone else and share your money, and your success, you can do it yourself."
When asked how she was able to keep the “visual album” release under wraps, Beyoncé shared with the crowd: "I found a team of underdogs, a team of women, a team of people that no one believed in." Continuing, "And we worked together and we stayed up all night and we were progressive and we did not follow the rules and we said, ‘Why can’t we do it?’ and I don’t think people believed, you know?"
