Beyonce’s February GQ magazine cover, photos and story are fashion and style gifts that keeps on giving. With more photos being released and more details about the singer’s life being published, fans are starting to get a peek into the singer's personal life. In one of the newly released photos, the fashionsita donned a lacy bra and Calvin Kleins as she took on those pesky pregnancy rumors.
Photographer Terry Richardson took the photos of the pop star for the sexy GQ magazine spread, including the newly released photo of Beyonce in a Brooklyn Nets hat, lace bra, Calvin Klein underwear, a white silk kimono, and statement jewelry, according to a Jan. 22 Daily Mail report.
The bootylicious singer first sparked the “fake pregnancy” rumors in October 2011 when her baby bump appeared to collapse during a live television interview. According to Beyonce, she took the rumors in stride and was not angered by them, but the same could not be said for her mother Tina and younger sister Solange, who were upset by the allegations.
“I felt like I kind of had to protect my mother, because when people made up the silliest rumor about me not really being pregnant she was there when I went through all of those things,” said the Blue Ivy’s mom. “And my sister. They were very, very defensive. It’s not personal to me, and it comes along with the job, but the lack of respect—people will just go too far sometimes.”
Giving birth made her feel powerful, excited and more connected to her husband. “When I gave birth, that was the first time I truly let go and surrendered,” she told the magazine. “And it taught me how amazing that feels...Giving birth made me realize the power of being a woman. I have so much more substance in my life. And expressing that excitement and that sensuality and the connection I have with my husband [rapper Jay-Z]— I’m a lot more comfortable with that now.”
The singer also opened up about her husband and their relationship, telling the magazine, “I was independent before I met my husband, and we have such a natural chemistry and a genuine relationship, and it’s based on the things that relationships are supposed to be based on.”
The entertainer was a hit at the 2013 Presidential inauguration on Jan. 21 where she belted out a rousing rendition of the national anthem. Her flawless performance was recently hit with allegations that her singing was pre-recorded. Her next appearance will be at SuperBowl XLVII.
