Thursday, Beyonce released her fifth album on iTunes without warning, and the news has created a buzz Friday; Beyonce and Jay Z also announced that they are starting a 22 day vegan diet. Fans were waiting for the album, but there wasn’t a release date for it, according to ABC News.
Beyonce is currently on a world tour and she has started an all vegan diet with Jay Z. The couple was challenged by a vegan friend to try the plant based diet for just 22 days and they accepted. See the video above for more information about their new vegan diet.
The album is called “Beyonce” and it has 14 songs and includes 17 videos; “Beyonce” is currently only available on iTunes, but her record label promises a CD/DVD will be released by Christmas. Some songs include Beyonce’s husband Jay Z, Frank Ocean and Drake.
Beyonce started working on the album over a year ago; song writers on the new album include: Justin Timberlake, Drake, Ryan Tedder, and The Dream. One of the videos, “Blue” includes Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy.
After the “Beyonce” album was released on iTunes, Beyonce released a press release:
“I see music. It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.
I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”
