Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting to see Beyonce hit the big screen in her next film, but they might have a bit more to wait. At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, the actress revealed her pregnancy, and this has caused the production for A Star is Born to be delayed. Movie Web reported on the delay on Monday morning. Check out photos and video of Beyonce from the 2011 MTV VMA's. The actress ended her performance of Love On Top on Sunday by showing off her baby bump.
Beyonce's pregnancy is not the only cause for the delay of the film. Leonardo DiCaprio was being considered for the male lead in the film, but he has passed on the film. He is currently working on Great Gatsby. Check out the most recent photos of the actor on the set of that film here. Other actors being considered for the male lead now are Christian Bale and Will Smith.
A Star Is Born is being remade by Clint Eastwood, and the film was set to go into production in February 2012. The fim was set for release late in 2012. No word yet on when the film will now start filming, but the February 2012 is too soon of a start date. The production wants to allow Beyonce time to recover after giving birth. On the big screen, Beyonce has been seen as an actress in Obsessed, Cadillac Records, Dreamgirls, and The Fighting Temptations.
Fans are still buzzing about Beyonce's news on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
& i know #Beyonce is a control freak because all #Virgos are so im sure she had total & complete control of her decision to get pregnant.
A Star Is Born will land in Scottsdale theaters in 2012.
