Beyonce performs at Super Bowl XLVII Halftime and lights go out (Photos)

Beyonce Knowles performed for the Halftime Show during the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, La., on Feb.3, 2013. Beyonce's performance, which included a Destiny's Child Reunion, was followed by a power outage at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Super Bowl is being televised live on CBS Television Network.

The power outage hit the Superdome just a couple of minutes into the second half, causing fans on Twitter to joke that the powerful halftime performance caused the power to go out.

Beyonce performed “Love On Top,”“Crazy in Love,” “End of Time,” and “Baby Boy.” She was then joined on stage by Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, for a a Destiny's Child reunion. The trio sang“Bootylicious” and “Independent Women” and finished with Beyonce's “Single Ladies.”

After the performance, portions of the stadium lost power. According to NFL.com, elevators, scoreboards and concessions around the stadium lost power. Locker room lights and hallways went out. The game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens was paused for several minutes while the power situation was corrected and was then resumed.

Did Beyonce's performance cause the power to go out at the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show?

Beyonce probably did not cause the power outage, but she certainly sizzled in a skimpy black leather outfit designed by Rubin Singer. The tight fitting outfit was slit down the front and did not leave much to the imagination.
