Since branching out from Destiny's Child and exploring a career as a solo artist, Beyonce has slowly worked to build an artist empire. According to the most recent numbers from her last tour, she has earned the title as the highest-earning African American artist of all time. This prestigious title was previously held by iconic artists like Michael Jackson and Prince who were selling albums in the millions throughout the 80s and 90s.

Beyonce's earning potential skyrocketed after a string of successful albums and a world tour that broke records. The Mrs. Carter World Tour took her to new heights in terms of financial earnings as she sold out arenas across the globe. The tour ran year-long in 2013 and Beyonce reportedly profited about $212 million from those shows. The tour sold over 1.8 million tickets as devoted fans emptied their savings to attend one of her entrancing performances.

It seems that Beyonce's earning potential is unlimited at this point as she recently announced a new tour with husband Jay-Z. The On The Run Tour will cover 16 dates and fans are already buzzing about the new show. $1 from every ticket sale will be donated to the Shawn Carter Foundation, which is often noted for providing scholarships to underprivileged kids.
