Beyonce, Metallica rumored to headline Lollapalooza 2012 Festival

New mom Beyonce will be one of the six headliners for Lollapalooza 2012 in Chicago, if new leaks are to be believed. Metallica, Beck, the Killers, Sonic Youth and the Red Hot Chili Peppers would be the other headliners.

The leaks came from the anonymous Twitter account @lollaleaks, so they are by no means guaranteed to be true. However, most of the lineup leaks from previous years turned out to be accurate.

The Twitter account also claims that additional performers at Lolla will include Girls, Yacht, They Might Be Giants, Das Racist, Major Lazer, Ben Folds Five, Tune-Yards, Chromeo, Justice, Bassnectar and more.

Meanwhile, Lolla head honcho Perry Farrell, though he directed an angry tweet towards @lollaleaks, has curiously not denied the leaked information and has instead issued a series of tweets about other subjects in an effort to change the subject, which gives the rumors even more credence.

Our take on the alleged lineup? Pretty weak. Metallica, Beyonce and the Chili Peppers are solid as headliners, but Beck is not a headliner, are the Killers would be an absolute joke as a marquee name. They haven't been big since about 2006. We would love to see Ben Folds Five, Tune-Yards and Girls, though.

Do you think the Lolla lineup is legit? Will you attend if this is the real lineup? Leave a comment and let us know.
