Singer Beyonce Knowles has just launched her “Beyonce Pulse NYC” fragrance, created in honor of that city of skyscrapers and the financial capital of the world, New York City.
Formulated by perfumer Carlos Vinals of Symrise, Beyonce Pulse NYC captures one of the Big Apple’s favorite desserts, Red Velvet Cupcakes.
Just like the rich, creamy dessert, Beyonce Pulse NYC features the aromas of vanilla and sweet, creamy icing, with top notes of raspberries, pears and pomegranate as well as jasmine and peony flowers.
At the heart are orchids, which can thrive even through adverse conditions in New York, also Beyonce’s favorite flower.
Base notes of this tasty concoction include velvety cupcakes and the seductive warmth of patchouli.
Just like its predecessors Pulse and Pulse Summer Edition the similarly shaped bottle and packaging includes a clear white bottle not unlike a skyscraper with turquoise or sky blue writing, housed in a matching blue vase-like container.
Speaking about the fragrance while shooting the ad campaign, Beyonce explained, “I thought that now that I am a New Yorker and I've learned about how I can accomplish anything in this city, I felt it was an appropriate energy for the new fragrance.”
Using New York City’s skyline as the backdrop, the ads were directed by ELLE magazine’s Joe Zee. Beyonce dons a strapless mini with a mirrored disco ball appeal that also reflects all that glass and steel of New York’s skyscrapers.
New York has also been noted for its many history-making discotheques, which have boasted a few disco balls of their own…
This is also Beyonce’s fifth fragrance but reportedly the very first fragrance to highlight a Red Velvet Cupcake accord.
Beyonce Pulse NYC was also created for a woman who is “impossible to ignore, exuding sensuality and strength.”
Beyonce Pulse NYC is available in 15, 30 and 50ml eau de parfum flacons as well as a 150ml deodorant spray. Try some...
