On Dec. 28, 2012, AOL Music revealed that charitable celeb Beyonce Knowles will be a hot ticket number to watch when she performs live for the 2013 Superbowl halftime show sponsored by Pepsi. Why? Because the sexy singer says she plans to include fans as extras in her performance -- something Hollywood insiders think is just grand.
The pop music singer has been known to use her star power wisely. Beyonce has donated time and money to humanitarian aid charities like Oxfam, the Entertainment Industry Foundation, and donated time and her wardrobe to supporting the Clothes Off Our Back non-profit organization.
According to the popular entertainment news source, "Pepsi announced Friday that 100 fans will hit the stage when the Grammy-winning diva performs on Feb. 3 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans."
They say, "A contest that kicks off Saturday will allow fans to submit photos of themselves in various poses, including head bopping, feet tapping and hip shaking. Those pictures will be used in a TV ad introducing Beyonce's halftime performance, and 50 people -- along with a friend -- will be selected to join the singer onstage."
MTV news further shared, "Beyonce’s upcoming 2013 Super Bowl performance is taking a slightly different turn than previous halftime shows. This time, Beyonce will be joined onstage by a group of 100 fans." They then added, "This is the first time ever that a Superbowl performance introduction will be crowd sourced and who better to bring in the fans than Queen B herself?"
