Beyonce and Jay-Z fans packed the Rose Bowl on Saturday night for one of two concerts that the Hollywood couple is offering on their “On the Run: Beyonce and Jay Z” concert tour. With fans standing around the elaborate stage, the couple sang many of their popular hits and ended the concert with a beautiful tribute to their daughter, Blue Ivy. According to the San Marino Tribune on Friday, there were 60,000 fans expected to attend and parking lots opened early to accommodate the crush of ticket holders expected in Pasadena. That probably didn't help the tardy fans, but those folks who arrived early got to experience a great concert.
The concert was a perfect evening for anyone who loved music. The multidimensional performances included videos, music and even a few moments where Jay-Z and Beyonce encouraged the fans to sing too. The personal moments set the tone for the singles and Beyonce brought her powerhouse vocals for the entire stadium to hear.
“On The Run: Beyoncé and JAY Z” concert is also helping the community. For every ticket sold, the tour is donating $1 to the Shawn Carter Foundation to support students. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from each Chase Lounge VIP Ticket Package will also be donated to The Shawn Carter Foundation.
Perhaps the most personal moment came at the end with the tribute to Blue Ivy. The couple was together for the final moments of the concert and gave the fans a chance to embrace their love of their daughter. Singing a medley of "Halo and Forever Young," the couple stopped their songs for just a moment and watched the video of Blue Ivy while embracing. The moment on stage was a reminder of how much they love their child and how they wanted to show their daughter in their way.
