Beyoncé is taking the stage for a performance to remember in Washington, but before she even grabbed the microphone the fans around the world were attracted to the Hollywood couple. On Monday morning, Beyoncé, on the arm of Jay Z, walked down the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Looking sexy and an immediate fan favorite, the couple was immediately noticed around the world.
Different than other dignitaries when the jumbo televisions showed the couple the Washington Mall erupted with delight as many came to hear the super star sing live. With the mix of politics and entertainment, there was no doubt that those famous faces from Hollywood were getting as much attention as the President.
The television broadcasters called Beyoncé and Jay-Z a “power couple.” Making a point that Beyoncé was at the event, she even stopped the political banter by the anchors as they discussed her fashion. Oddly, this wasn’t done for other stars that arrived, but then again it was tough to miss the couple.
