Beyonce halftime show online: Destiny's Child reunion at Super Bowl 2013 (Video)

Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show performance was being talked up as one of the most exciting musical moments of the year; pretty strong billing for a February event. However, there are likely two main reasons Bey's live performance was so highly-anticipated: first, a rumored Destiny's Child reunion, and second, the gossip that followed after Beyonce lip synced the national anthem on Inauguration Day.

There probably won't be much gossip after this performance; the Beyonce halftime show during Super Bowl 2013 went off without a hitch Sunday, fulfilling the Destiny's Child rumors and leaving fans screaming for more. Some Super Bowl XLVII viewers weren't overly impressed with the Destiny's Child reunion at Sunday's big game (Feb. 3). "I didn't think it was much of a reunion," one Tucson fan of the all-girl group told us Sunday night. "It felt like it was eighty-percent Beyonce, twenty-percent Destiny's Child; that's not a reunion. That's a cameo. Michelle and Kelly made cameos at the Beyonce show."

To be fair, the event has been referred to online as the Beyonce halftime show for weeks, not the Destiny's Child halftime show. Part of the reason for this is for brevity's sake, but also, we were not promised anything but Beyonce; the reunion was supposed to be a "surprise", a tease. However, because of this, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams were not allowed to promote themselves before performing on one of the world's biggest stages (in terms of audience). And when it came time to perform, the girls joined Beyonce in singing a couple of songs, including "Single Ladies", before disappearing as quickly as they came, leaving Bey on her own once again.
