Singer Beyoncé Knowles put her sleek physique on display in a stunning new ad after being named the new face of H&M.
"We've got some exciting news, singer and superstar Beyonce is the new face of H&M's summer campaign!" the clothing company announced via Twitter March 21.
In the photo, Beyonce relaxes on a lounge chair on the beach wearing a cream shirt and a form-fitting pair of patterned shorts. The photo was shot in the Bahamas in January 2013, just months after Knowles lost 57 pounds on a strict, low-calorie diet.
Beyonce regained her pre-pregnancy figure just three months after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012, and has maintained her impressive weight loss by eating small portions and having one vegan meal a day.
"I ate a very low-calorie diet," Beyoncé, 31, told Shape. "I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and rice with quinoa. I didn't have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again!"
The super-fit Knowles says 80% of her pregnancy weight loss was the result of eating less, and not rigorous gym workouts.
"Some people prefer the gym, but when I have to put on workout clothes and run on a treadmill, I get bored," she said. "I'm not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape."
