It was confirmed that Beyonce did lip sync during her singing of “The Star Spangled Banner” at Obama’s inauguration ceremony, reported Fox News on Jan. 22. The superstar was exposed after a rep for the United States Marching Band verified the rumor that it was the singer’s decision last minute to not sing live.
It was explained by Kristin DuBois, the band’s rep, that all music for the presidential ceremony is pre-recorded in case there is a problem with the singer performing it live.
The “Survivor” singer fooled many people with her perfect rendition of the song. However, recent instagram pictures have surfaced – by the "Washingtonian" coming from Beyonce’s account – that showed the diva all hooked up with recording devices in studio; rehearsing with the music sheet to the American song.
The spokesperson for the marching band also explained that this is done all the time – to prerecord songs as a backup.
Do you feel cheated now that you know this? After all, isn't it still her true voice?
