PETA (People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is criticizing Beyonce for her outfit choice during the Super Bowl 2013 halftime show.
The singer’s bodysuit was reportedly made of python and iguana skin, along with other man-made materials.
The animal rights organization released a statement, “We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés here and here, she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits, or other animals who died painfully. Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score.”
Take a look at the video of “PETA – Exotic Skins Undercover Video.”
With animal cruelty obviously not on her list of concerns, last month Beyonce wore a Christian Dior mink coat to the Presidential inauguration. She was criticized by PETA for her inhumane fashion statement at that event.
With fake skin and fake fur so readily available, wearing clothes made of tortured animals’ skins seems a bit cold-hearted. Beyonce, watch the video.
