Beyonce returned to the stage at Atlantic City on Friday for the first time since giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter in January. At the Revel, Beyonce performed a short homage to Whitney Houston, a tribute that’s already garnered over 87,000 views on YouTube.
Beyonce hit the stage in a variety of Ralph & Russo designs, performing the Whitney tribute while wearing a glittery, red-bandaged outfit. Beyonce then harmonized the beginning of Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” before rolling into a performance of “Halo.”

Mrs. Shawn Carter ended the night with a performance of “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
While Beyonce will no doubt garner the most buzz in the music world this weekend, the biggest benefactor of Friday’s Revel concert will be Luke James. Luke had his breakout debut at the BET Honors back in February, and on Friday, he was the opening act for Beyonce’s welcome back concert.
Keep James on your radar. With a new album coming out this summer, he’ll likely be a household name within a year.
