Beyonce has had a whirlwind year. Between a world tour, releasing a secret album, numerous public appearances and sightseeing, the starlet has had a year that most people would envy. An April 8 story by On the Red Carpet reveals that the singer has been even busier than previously thought. In addition to all these other activities, the singer took time out of her busy schedule to be featured in the “Out May Power Issue”.

The cover features a black and white image of a topless Beyonce with a blonde wig. However, the singer did more than just pose for pictures for “Out”. She also took the time to answer a series of questions from the report. Interestingly, due to Beyonce’s hectic schedule, these questions were asked and answered through email.

One of the topics that Beyonce spent much time addressing was sexuality. This should not be surprising considering that Beyonce’s latest album has been noted as being far more sexual than her previous work. In particular, the singer addressed the need for women to feel more empowered by their sexuality, regardless of their role or occupation in life.

The old lessons of submissiveness and fragility made us victims...Women are so much more than that. You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist -- whatever you want to be -- and still be a sexual being. It's not mutually exclusive.” - Beyonce
