Beyonce and Walmart are getting along well this holiday season. In fact, according to a Dec. 21 report by US magazine via MSN, the superstar singer and the superstore giant were in cahoots when Bey brought good cheer for the holidays to shoppers trolling the aisles in a Boston suburb.
And these folks probably thought all of Mrs. Carter's surprises had already been divulged. After all, Beyonce did just come out with a surprise album to captivate her fans and stun just about everyone in the music industry.
While that album, with its 14 new songs, boasted 17 Beyonce videos shot around the world in such far-flung haunts as New York, Rio de Janeiro, Houston and Sydney, the Walmart giveaway took place in just on location: Tewskbury.
The whole surprise visit by the 32-year-old celebrity happened on Friday when she turned up to spread het love and to embrace her new album, all while being accompanied by her precious baby Blue Ivy.
Suddenly, Beyonce blasted awesome news over the Walmart loudspeaker. She took the opportunity to loudly tell the lucky holiday shoppers in the store that she was gifting 750 of them with $50 gift cards put in envelopes that had been signed by the diva. In all, Bey presented $37,000 to these shocked recipients, all of whom surely felt very lucky for this incredible —and probably hard to believe — opportunity.
Talk about a holly, jolly Christmas present.
