Before Beyonce gave birth, rumors were that she was not even pregnant. Then rumors were that she delivered before she did. Then rumors were that she and Jay-Z secured a whole wing of the hospital and other patients were neglected. There were rumors about the baby's name. Then rumor were that Oprah Winfrey was the baby's godmother. The rumors went on and on.
Jay-Z and Beyonce wanted to control the release of their baby's first pictures to the public. So they did it themselves. They posted several pictures on Tumblr so everyone could see them at the same time. No one would sell the pictures and claim they procured them themselves.
According to Black Planet, along with the release of the photos, the happy new parents released this statement:
“We welcome you to share our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this Beautiful time in our lives.”
Blue Ivy was born January 7. 2012. She is in every one of the photos. In one of them, she is with her mother. In one of them, she is with her father. But in the rest of them, she is alone.
