The performance began with Beyoncé singing while sitting backwards in a chair, and the chair was on a revolving circular platform. Midway through the performance Jay Z joined her on stage and the pair finished out the song together. In 2014 she was nominated for a Grammy in the category Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her song "Part II (On The Run)" with Jay Z. Rapper Jay Z ended up winning, but it was for his song "Holy Grail" with Justin Timberlake.

The song "Drunk in Love" is the second single from Beyoncé's self-titled fifth studio album. The album "Beyoncé" was released on Dec. 20, 2013 via Columbia Records / Parkwood Entertainment and it debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
