According to sources at the NY Daily News Beyonce has been having top secret photo shoots to promote the hard copy of her album which is now available in stores.
Beyonce's album is still number #1 on the charts in over 100 countries. The singer surprised fans when she dropped by a Walmart in Tewksbury, Mass. and shopped at the store on Friday. Us Weekly reported that Beyonce gave a $50 gift card to 720 shoppers which totaled over $37,500 dollars. Beyonce's shopping visit was unannounced and comes days after Target released a statement that they would not sell Beyonce's album in their stores.
"At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections," a spokeswoman for Target, Erica Julkowski, told Billboard.
Target is now hit with a backlash from customers after their computer system was compromised by fraudulent hackers.
