Beware of Haiti relief scammers

Haiti's unfortunate tragedy has ignited a wave of donation scammers.  Those wishing to help in the Haiti relief effort are being warned to research and know the organization to whom you are donating.  A few safe ways to donate are through the American Red Cross and Mercy Corps.  If interested in texting a donation, YELE to 501501  and HAITI to 90999 have been confirmed legitimate donation centers.  YELE to 501501 will bill $5.00 dollars to your monthly cell phone bill.  HAITI to 90999 bills $10 to your monthly cell phone bill.   Please be advised, normal texting rates still apply.

As always, never give out your personal information, bank account information, social security number, or credit card information to anyone or organization.
