Beware of dangerous additives and changeover to healthier options

In Chicago you can find children going to the corner store for an after school snack including flavored potato chips, a soda pop and other junk foods. Some high schools even have vending machines available in the schools. The question is will this food affect their brain health, increase obesity and add extra toxins to the system? The answer may surprise many, but parents really need to take a second look at what our children are eating and how it affects our families and us. Lots of additives are added for flavoring to our foods including MSG (monosodium glutamate), aspartame and L-cysteine. These are chemicals that are found to be toxic to the brain, help to increase obesity and speed up the aging process. We have to read the ingredients on the packages of the foods we are eating and learn healthier food choices.

Today, Americans have the mindset to take medications if we are having health issues to help the conditions but we need to educate ourselves and learn how to get to the root of the problem to rid many health issues and prevent us from getting sick. Americans are over medicated and over vaccinated and many are unaware.

Let’s take a look at some food additives. The popular names MSG, aspartame and fructose corn syrup are starting to get a bad rap. They have been in the news and connected to diabetes and other health issues. Now new names are being replaced so we may not recognize the ingredients. You will start to hear names like AminoSweet, advertised as low cal sweetener. It is still Aspartame. One study scientists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston revealed women who drank two or more artificially-sweetened beverages a day doubled their risk of more-rapid-than-normal kidney function decline. Aspartame has also been linked to tumors, seizures and even death in many studies. MSG is an artificially produced additive. Scientists suggest that Monosodium Glutamate is the main culprit to the obesity epidemic due to the brain damage it causes. There is evidence that it also causes diabetes and linked to the high incidence of autism and irritable bowel syndrome.

One doctor refers to these toxic ingredients as "excitotoxins" and he has written a book about it that consists of lots of scientific research. Dr. Russell Blaylock’s book Excitotoxins goes into detail on the affects of these toxins. He explains that they damages the Hypothymus and causes depression, suicide and hyperactivity. He emphasizes how we need to rid these Excitotoxins from our diet.

We can change over to a “clean” diet and take the extra nutrition and supplements to support our health.

Dr. Russell Blaylock suggests:
-    Cut out sugars from diet
-    Eat lots of vegetables
-    Eat less meats
-    Get rid of toxins like pesticides, mecury (in the fish we eat)
-    Senior citizens need to reduce vaccinations. (No proof flu vaccinations really prevent seniors from contracting the flu).

Recommended supplements include:
-    Vitamin A and D
-    More antioxidants (like noni juice and mangosteen juice)
-    Magnesium
-    Multi-vitamins and minerals
