Beverly Hills plastic surgeon thinks outside PhotoShop digital deception

There’s been a lot of flak lately about the digital deception of models and celebs being Photohopped into shape and beauty(watch the viedo for proof), but a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon has other ways, besides digital nips and tucks, to prepare celebs for the Red Carpet.

Dr. Leif Rogers, M.D., F.A.C.S, has photo-friendly treatments for celebs and the rest of us that he says can help to rejuvenate, restore and seemingly turn back the hands of time.

Phytoceramides Supplements--Phytoceramides were largely off the radar until Dr. Rogers introduced this 'miracle' supplement on the Dr. Oz Show. The process helps reverse the signs of aging by hydrating the skin from the inside out, plumping the skin, preventing the loss of moisture and diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Phytoceramides should be taken starting 4-6 weeks before that special shoot or event.

VASER Shape (vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance)--Known as a non-invasive ultrasound technology for cellulite reduction and selective fat deposits, this procedure reduces swelling caused by air travel. This is especially important if one has flown in for a special event or needs to hit the runway soon after arriving. Because it ameliorates the look of uneven spots and the effects are immediate, models love it pre-photo shoot, and it is great for brides. Compared with the pleasant feeling of having a hot stone massage, sessions last less than an hour and there is no downtime.

ULTherapy-- The only non-invasive procedure approved by the FDA to tighten and lift the chin/jowls, neck and eyebrows, and more recently the chest area, including the cleavage, this procedure delivers micro-focused ultrasound deep below the skin's surface, reaching down towards the SMAS (the layer of tissue that covers, surrounds and attaches to the deeper tissues and structures of the face and neck). The result? The foundational layers of the skin are precisely heated, without disturbing the surface, and significant tightening and lifting can be achieved in one 60-90 minute session. The energy stimulates the growth of new and more elastic collagen with results becoming more pronounced over time. ULTherapy is also the only procedure that uses ultrasound imaging, which lets the practitioner see the layers of tissue that need to be treated, ensuring that the energy is placed exactly where it will be the most effective. While traditional areas treated include the nasolabial folds and the fine lines around the mouth as well as the chest; some high-profile patients request full-body ULTherapy on a regular basis. On the body, deeper, highly targeted settings can be used on the abdomen, thighs, backside, knees and upper arm, providing for subtle, but effective changes, especially remarkable for a non-invasive, single treatment procedure. Treatments can be repeated as often as every three months, but results are evident up to two years.

IV Vitamin Therapy—Shooting up is the 'go to' treatment of the stars. It’s a pre-event 'cocktail' made with magnesium, calcium, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, and B12) and vitamin C, plus a 'push' of the antioxidant and detoxifying powerhouse, glutathione. Post-surgery and to help the healing process, this infusion is supplemented with more vitamin C plus zinc and biotin for hair, skin and nail health. The infusions are also customized to each patient's specific nutritional needs to ensure maximal effectiveness. Bypassing the digestive system is the main advantage of IV nutrition. When substances are given orally they must be processed through the stomach and the intestines. Many substances may not be thoroughly absorbed or are rendered inactive in the digestive tract. By directly administering nutrients via the bloodstream, a much higher level of nutrition can be delivered directly to the cells. These increased levels can provide an immediate therapeutic response by correcting deficiencies; resulting in a patient feeling better within hours of the treatment.

THERMILift—It perks up the face or body by digging dip into the skin resulting in collagen production that tightens and regenerates without damaging the skin surface.
