Beverly Hills eco-beauty boutique to host pregnancy event

If you're pregnant, chances are you're much more careful about the food you eat, so that the other person exposed to your choices gets the best chance possible to be healthy. Are you as careful with your cosmetics? As more information is gained about the influence of personal care products on hormone health, women are seeking to learn how they can make informed choices when shopping for makeup, lotions, and other similar items.

This Wednesday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., in honor of Pregnancy Awareness Month, Evolue Beauty is hosting an event celebrating moms, sponsored by companies committed to eco-friendly beauty, and designed to help women learn how to make pregnancy-friendly style and beauty choices.

Alex Spunt, author of the book No More Dirty Looks, stylist Anya Sarre and Arcona's Bethany Wojtech will be discussing everything from choosing eco-friendly makeup, to dressing to feel beautiful while pregnant, to maintaining healthy skin while expecting.

In addition to the presentations, guests will have the opportunity to receive free Arcona mini-facials, reflexology, polish changes by Sheswai Lacquer, and beauty-enhancing hot chocolate sampling by Beauty Foods.

Cost of attendance is a $20 donation to benefit both the Environmental Working Group and Pregnancy Awareness Month. You can RSVP your attendance by either e-mailing info@evoluebeauty.com or calling 310-289-1560.
