Adding to the career renaissance she's had since 2009's The Proposal, Betty White will now join the cast of Community's second season premiere.
White, 88, will play esteemed but slightly unhinged anthropology professor June Bauer on the hit NBC sitcom, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Best known for her turn as Rose Nyland on the long-running comedy The Golden Girls, White's recent hosting gig on Saturday Night Live garnered six Emmy nominations. Her TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland was recently picked up for a full season. She will appear in the film You Again later this year.
Community chronicles the misadventures of a quirky, diverse study group at the fictional Greendale Community College, and features Chicago native Danny Pudi.
