‘Betty White’s 2nd Annual 90th Birthday Special’ carried on without her

The birthday girl was not able to attend her own 91st birthday special based on doctor’s orders. On Tuesday night from the onset of “Betty White’s 2nd Annual 90th Birthday Special” on NBC Betty announced she had come down with the flu. At her age she absolutely needs to take extreme good care of her health. Thanks to technology she was able to watch it live from home, pre-recorded of course. It was another outpouring of love from her castmates in “Hot in Cleveland” to old friends to new ones like country singer Blake Shelton. He composed and sang a secret love song dedicated just for her.

If that weren’t enough former president Bill Clinton made a political ad endorsing how Betty would make an excellent presidential candidate for 2016. At the end he approved this message. Last year on Betty’s 90th birthday, Zachary Levi had proposed to her. Now we saw an update on what’s happened in a year’s time. One of the best highlights of the night was seeing a hilarious montage from Betty’s talk show appearances. In our cynical world it’s refreshing to see tremendous love and joy come from people in all walks of life. Betty White brings out the best in people.
