Betty White has been seen on the television screen for as far back as many of us can remember. She is graceful, funny and has a sense of humor that tickles the ribs of everyone.
On January 17 Betty turned ninety-two years old and she is still going strong. According to the Huffington Post on Jan. 17 she shows no signs of slowing down. On the contrary, she says that ‘Retirement is not in my vocabulary”.
Betty White has always shown her fans, friends, family and co-stars the sunny side of her. She has a bubbly personality, loves animals, is healthy and wants to keep working. One of the things that many people relate to when they think of her is those uncanny one-lines that just pop out with ease. She can make anyone laugh and she has always done it so well.
She was awarded the privilege of being entered in the Guinness World Records for having the longest television career for any female entertainer. She was wonderful in her role on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” as Sue Ann Nivens and became even a bigger household name when she played Rose Nylund on “The Golden Girls”.
Over the years she has earned herself six Emmy Awards, the Britannia Award, a Grammy Award and three American Comedy Awards. In 2009 she was chosen by the Screen Actors Guild and awarded with the Life Achievement Award.
