Today marks America's favorite golden girl, Betty White's, 91st birthday, and on this day, she has a special request for those who might want to honor her with a gift.
Betty, who has been a life-long animal lover, would like to ask others join her in reaching a goal of $10,000 in donations for the Morris Animal Foundation.
Betty outlined her birthday request via a personal letter at Causes.com.
Her letter, in part, reads:
Animals are near and dear to my heart, and I've devoted my life to trying to improve their lives. Since a girl like me already has more than I could hope for, I'm asking fellow animal lovers for a special birthday gift this year. To help celebrate my 91st birthday on January 17, please help me raise $10,000 for Morris Animal Foundation.
It is a special year for Morris Animal Foundation as well. The non-profit organization that invests in science that advances veterinary medicine for companion animals, horses and wildlife, is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year.
It is, as always, an honor to wish this beloved actress, author, and comedienne a very Happy Birthday.
