When one first moves to Las Vegas, you start to thinking “This guy’s going to be at the casino all the time…” This would be true were the person single, but if he or she had a family, that person might stay home a bit more. In terms of a single person, this person might venture out to the strip a few times just to “look around” and get the lay of the land. After a couple of days or so, the single person might even park and go out on foot to scout things out and possibly even gamble a bit.
Later still, this person may try a buffet or a show or both, maybe try a few more just for comparison’s sake, go to a few clubs here and there, and then finally get tired of it all. Such is the curse of Las Vegas on the single person.
“Insert friend here…” Add a friend to the mix, be it someone the person has known for awhile, someone who has been on the scene for awhile, or even someone he/she just met, and then everything changes. If one is lucky, the friend they will have with them knows a thing or two about the city and can help one find loads of stuff to do that does not put a strain on one’s finances.
The occasional win at the tables or slots calls for a celebration between one and his/her friend/s. The occasional loss becomes more bearable and calls for a consolation prize of drinks. Driving up and down the strip becomes an adventure as one tries to spot more “crazies” than his/her friends. Walking the strip becomes a lot less like torture and a lot more fun when those same “crazies” walk up to you asking if you have the “good stuff”.
People always think of Las Vegas as the place where anything goes and the sky is the limit, but it is a whole lot more than that when you have friends with you to help you enjoy it all. One thing before coming over with your friends though: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!” We would not want you losing any friends now would we? LOL!
