Better a millstone: children caught in the same-sex marriage conflict

What lies ahead for those who cause children to 'stumble?'
What lies ahead for those who cause children to 'stumble?'

When God became flesh and walked the earth in human form – in the person known historically as “Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, the Son of God,” et al – he demonstrated his unfathomable love for humankind in various manners. In particular he exhibited a remarkable affinity for children and often referred to their innocent nature in the words he spoke.

For instance during one sermon, as he drew a small child near himself, Jesus taught:

“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

(Matthew 18:3-4)

Another time, as Jesus was preaching to “great multitudes” in Judea, a number of parents brought their children for Jesus to lay his hands upon and pray. When the disciples tried to prevent this Christ rebuked them saying:

“Suffer [cause or allow] the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”

(Mark 10:4)

Violating the innocence of children, setting them upon a course to live a destructive lifestyle, i.e. “offending them,” as they grow was (and still is) exceedingly repugnant to the Almighty. So much so that, as Jesus continued:

“Whoever receives one little child like this in my name receives me. Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”

(Matthew 18:5-7)

Although today’s reader is not a part of Jesus’ primary audience, there are those times when the things recorded in the Bible, such as this, are no less weighty in application.

Enter the homofascist endeavors to indoctrinate children into seeing as “normal” what the Scripture clearly calls “sin.” Not merely in brainwashing them with the idea that same-sex marriage is acceptable and on the same plane as natural marriage, but the whole cabal, the hyper-sexualizing – particularly in exposing them to pernicious homosexual acts, as is being done – the shaping, and molding of their very souls to see the things that God says are wrong as somehow being right.

Can there possibly be any necks more in peril of the millstones Jesus warned about than those who are forcing their dubious, militant homosexual worldview upon the impressionable youth of today?

It is as true now as it was when the Son of God warned the wicked of his generation. Mess up the children, trick them into believing black is white, night is day, evil is good, and the consequences shall be dire. Doing so in the name of “tolerance” is no excuse and perhaps only makes matter worse.

The views expressed in this article arise from certain basic assumptions. Among those are, A: There is an eternal Creator, One who has always been and always shall be. A God who not only instigated and perpetuated the universe, but who is also involved in the affairs of mankind and that He rules and reigns according to His infinite wisdom and His sovereign prerogative.

And B: The Holy Bible is the specific revelation He gave to His highest created order, mankind, so that it would know His perfect will in which it might live and prosper. It is also up to the individual to decide for him or herself what he or she believes. But it must be understood in the context that ALL beliefs are accompanied by consequences.
