Betsey Johnson’s New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 collection was presented yesterday. As expected, it was fun, colorful and so hot that male firefighter models helped to close the show. According to Bella Sugar, her collection had a flirty and feminine vibe that mirrored trends from the ‘70s.
The fashions included everything from bold, patent leather looking tutus and gun print blouses to sequin embellished dresses and plenty of pink and blue color combinations. Chunky jewelry and cool patterns were also key details in her pieces.
To complement the apparel, the beauty look was also bold. Many shades of pink were incorporated to create the achieved makeup look of layered eye makeup and shimmer-finished, pink lips.
The manicures for the Betsey Johnson NYFW presentation were created by Danielle Candido. The nails were painted in a two-toned style with Morgan Taylor polishes and embellished with gold designs.
The undersides of the fingernails were painted in a light purple polish and the tops were painted in neon blue. The addition of gold, stud-like and foil embellishments completed the nails.
