Betsey Johnson will show at New York Fashion Week, after all. The outrageous fashion designer apparently changed her mind. Fashionista reported on Jan. 28 that Betsey is set to debut her collection at the Lincoln Center Tents on Feb.11.
Just weeks ago, Betsey said that she was opting out of New York Fashion Week. She added that she wanted to focus on her low-cost line of dresses for women of all ages. She felt that the collection was unsuitable for the high fashion show.
Instead, Johnson changed her mind. She told WWD that she couldn't stay away. She wanted to do the collection for herself and for her fans. She wanted everyone to know that she wasn't leaving the fashion industry behind anytime soon.
Betsey Johnson came back after filing for bankruptcy in April 2012. She celebrated her 70th birthday a few months later. The designer will also debut her reality show on the Style Network this spring 2013.
