Update 8/24/13: Scooby is safe and has left the facility!
A decade ago, when Scooby was an irresistible, adorable puppy, someone adopted him from the Los Angeles Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.
Tragically, at eleven years of age, Scooby, now a senior, found himself once again behind the bars of a lonely kennel run at the same facility.
Scooby's identification number, A1081585, brings up his original puppy photo, but the information reveals that he is now 11-years-old and he was returned to animal control on August 12.
Scooby was let down by his adoptive family and then, adding insult to injury, he was put in danger again when someone posted a false comment on Facebook stating that he was dead.
On Thursday morning, it was confirmed that Scooby is still very much alive and he is still in need of being rescued from this animal control facility.
Please take a moment and network Scooby's information before someone's false statement of his demise becomes a tragic statement of truth.
