The rumors and speculations for “Fallout 4” began to boil once again due to a mysterious countdown website that recently popped up, occasionally drop hints and the teases. A fan would later admit that the domain was an elaborate hoax and that the individual responsible explained that the deception was done “just for fun.”

The fake website was registered by ZeniMax, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios. However, it was revealed that someone else purchase a 30-day plan for the domain, which may have explained the unique time in which the countdown would have been ending.

Bethesda Softworks recently stated that the company is not planning to show any new content for its future projects in the near future.
