Rumors have been making the rounds that the Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy divorce is just a publicity stunt to promote Frankel’s upcoming talk show “Bethenny,” Radar Online reported on Jan. 10.
A source told Radar Online:
“It wouldn’t surprise anyone at all if Bethenny and Jason got back together just like NeNe Lekes [sic] did with her husband Greg [sic], after she filed for divorce. Jason has been spotted still wearing his wedding ring, and there isn’t anything Bethenny wouldn’t do to keep her name in the press.”
A source close to Bethenny Frankel is skeptical that she would stage a fake split from Hoppy for publicity, saying, “I have a very hard time believing that Bethenny would put her family through this for publicity. She is devoted to daughter Bryn, and her marriage just wasn’t working. Could they get back together? Absolutely. Anything is possible.”
Another insider said, “Bethenny’s talk show is [not] scheduled to appear until this fall, and she doesn’t have any other reality show to do in the meantime. If Jason and Bethenny did get back together, it would generate a ton of positive press, and certainly boost the ratings of the talk show.”
It is highly unlikely that Frankel would put her daughter Bryn, husband Jason and his parents through what is shaping up to be a very public and possibly acrimonious divorce as a publicity stunt. Bethenny has always been very protective of Bryn, and fans cannot imagine that she would pull a “Kim Kardashian” simply to garner ratings for her talk show.
